Homeless Pets Foundation Reaches 3,000 Rescues Milestone

The Homeless Pets Foundation, established by Dr. Phil Good in 2000, has reached a remarkable milestone this spring: 3,000 animals rescued, rehabilitated, and placed in loving forever homes. It is a number that represents not just organizational achievement, but thousands of individual stories of second chances.

What began as a small foster network operating out of the back rooms of Beyond Pets Animal Hospital has grown into one of Georgia most respected rescue organizations. The foundation now coordinates with shelters, veterinary clinics, and volunteer foster families across the metropolitan Atlanta area.

Every animal rescued through HPF receives comprehensive veterinary care at no charge, courtesy of Beyond Pets Animal Hospital. From routine vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures to emergency surgeries and long-term rehabilitation, the commitment to each animal is total.

When we started, I told myself that if we could save even a hundred animals, it would be worth every late night and every dollar, Dr. Good reflected at the milestone celebration. Three thousand later, I can tell you it was worth far more than I ever imagined.
